Oy.
I went back to Missouri for this last weekend, so during the week before that I tried to use up my perishable foods. I came back to Vermont, realized that I had only two cans of Mountain Dew left and decided to quit drinking it. I’m getting a bit too chubby around the middle for my taste, and of course pop has tons of sugar and empty calories and other junk in it.
My head hurts. A lot. I’ve had part of a 20 ounce bottle, a full 12 ounce can, and a glass of iced tea this week. That’s nowhere near my typical intake (most of a 20 ounce bottle and a 12 ounce can each day–iced tea is rare for me). I’m also extremely tired.
I’m probably more than a little crazy for deciding to do this during the last three weeks of the semester, but I know I have to do unpleasant things right when I decide to do them or I’ll find convenient excuses to not do them.
I’m not sure if this will carry on into a full-blown diet and/or excersize plan or not. I figure I’d better concentrate on surviving the massive caffeine and sugar crash and then think about the more distant future.

I went through this once a few years ago… I thought I was going to die for several days… but trust me, afterwards, it’s worth it! I felt so much better in general (especially waking up in the morning) without such a high caffeine intake.
