My 22nd birthday was Thursday. It was my first birthday away from home, and I was kind of apprehensive about being stuck in the apartment with nothing to do, but my classmates really surprised me. Two of the girls in class made cupcakes and brought them to class on Wednesday and got everyone to sing “Happy Birthday” to me, which was really sweet. Then one of them decided that we should all go out for supper Thursday night, so we all went to Applebee’s. Most of the class showed up, the married couples brought their spouses, and it was a really great time. We stayed there and ate and talked for three hours, and I even got a free dessert (with singing!) to sweeten the deal. Good times :)
