I think I’m getting the hang of this.
I had spaghetti, garlic mashed potatoes, and toast with garlic butter for supper tonight. My parents called while I was cooking it, and Mom thought the combination of spaghetti and mashed potatoes was “interesting,” but I kind of liked it. I think I might regret the garlic, though. I’ve been doing pretty good about cooking things instead of going for frozen dinners, and I’ve only eaten out once for the whole time I’ve been here.
The apartment as a whole is still clean, although my desk is a bit cluttered now that both my PowerBook and the behemoth old Dell laptop are sitting on it so that the old lappy can act as a gateway computer when I want to get wireless access with the PowerBook. That’s hopefully just temporary until I can find somewhere else to put the Dell. Hopefully. The thing takes up almost a fourth of the whole desk!
Classes are going well enough, although there’s already quite a bit of work to do. We’re supposed to be coming up with an idea for a semester-long research project, and I have only the faintest clues of an idea. It doesn’t help that I need to hand in a sort of preliminary report by Friday. Gah. Email me or leave a comment if you have any ideas for research in correctional psychology :p
Josie is doing well, too, although she’s been having these intermittent attacks of the crazies during which she tries to attack the ceiling. Literally. She’ll stand in a doorway and jump straight up as high as she can, staring at the ceiling the whole time. If she’s really into it, she’ll run and then jump at various walls. My sister thinks that maybe there’s something on the roof, but personally I just think she’s a nutter of a cat.
