Catching
Posted in General on July 19th, 2004I’ve let a long gap occur between posts again. I guess I’ve just been too wrapped up in the drama that my life has become. Too much stuff going on. I need a break. Oh, how I wish I had the money and time for a two-week trip to some nice, secluded island. So, things that have happened lately:
My dad had his hip replaced last Tuesday. The surgery went well, and the doctors were thankfully able to do the less-invasive type of hip replacement, which means there will be a shorter recovery time. He came home on Friday and is walking around with the help of a walker. He should be able to drive late next week, and a full recovery is expected in 3-5 weeks from now. That’s all good news, I just hate to see him in the hospital at all. He’s been there far too many times because of heart problems.
We’ve had a lot of visits from the regional office’s inspector-dude lately. Most of those visits were to hold classes for the managers, but the last two were to examine and rate the performance of the store as a whole. The visits were stressful, but we did our best and got a score of 97%, wooo! Incidentally, the inspector said that that was the best score he’s ever given in his 15 years with the corporation :).
Other assorted things. Stuff I won’t get into here. Just bear with me if I’m a bit grouchy, please.
